COVID19 Reopening Statement

Greetings,

The time to reopen is approaching, so I would like to share the new guidelines that are required in order to receive services at Salon Kimistry. The new guidelines are in conjunction with The State Board Rules for Safety and Sanitation. They are put in place for the protection of the clients and employees. The new guidelines will be an adjustment for us all, however it is important to comply during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The guidelines may be adjusted when necessary and safe to do so.

  • Masks are required when entering the salon and being serviced. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MASK.

  • Wash your hands when entering the salon.

  • You will be asked the following questions:

  1. Have you had a cough or fever in at last 14 days?

  2. Have you been around anyone with a cough or fever in the last 14 days?

NOTE: If you are not feeling well, you must reschedule your appointment. I understand many are in dire need of getting their hair done but the health and safety of everyone is top priority. Therefore, if you show up to your appointment sick, you will be asked to leave.

  • Do not bring anyone with you to your appointment.

Over the past few weeks, I have been vigorously preparing to properly reopen.  The Salon is fully stocked with an abundance of capes, towels, disinfected spray and hand sanitizer. Every client being serviced will be properly draped with a towel and their own cape for sanitation purposes. In addition, we will be disinfecting every surface and washing our hands between each client.  To prohibit the spread of germs, I will no longer offer coffee, tea, water, candy or magazines to read. However, please feel free to bring your own beverages and magazines.

Once I reopen, my schedule will be changing significantly, therefore I will not be as available. In order to keep the number of people in the salon at a limit, I will only be servicing up to eight clients a day and spacing out each appointment. This will allow enough time to thoroughly disinfect between clients, have a scheduled lunch break and lessen my exposure. I understand that everyone is eager to get their hair done, however I am only one person.  I will do my very best to get everyone in as soon as possible but it is important that you do your part as well.  You MUST show up on time to your appointment! I will be VERY STRICT, I repeat VERY STRICT when it comes to my 15-minute late policy. If you know you are not going to make it on time to your scheduled appointment, DO NOT SHOW UP! If you decide to show up late, you will be asked to leave. THIS APPLIES TO EVERYONE!!!!!!! It is imperative that we keep things efficient and flowing for everyone’s safety. I strongly recommended that you schedule your appointment in advance due to limited availability. Also, I will no longer be scheduling last minute appointments (less than 48 hours). In addition, I will be strict with the less than 24-hour cancellation policy. If you do not give a proper appointment cancelation notice (24 hours), be prepared to pay a $30 fee before you get another service at Salon Kimistry. Courtesy appointment reminders will be sent to eliminate confusion with appointments. Effective July 1st 2020 there will be a price increase for majority of my services. Please see the attached new price list.
